Technical Assistance Negotiated Grant  

Hello Everyone,

I want to take a moment to introduce myself as your new TANG Specialist.  My name is Lee Carter, and I am extremely happy to have been selected for this position.

Now for a little background, so you'll know something about me...;-) .  I am a retired educator with 33 years of experience, all at Pampa ISD.  When I began my career in education, I taught math at the high school level (12 years).  I then had brief stints as a Secondary Gifted & Talented Coordinator and an Elementary principal before becoming the district's Technology Director (21 years).  I've always enjoyed teaching and technology (got my first PC, a Commodore Vic 20, in '83)!  I have about 20 years of experience training educators, of all positions.  I guess my specialties are MS Office, Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, digital photography, web design, video editing, Acrobat Professional, and Internet search techniques.  Notice that I said nothing about being an expert!!!  When you make as many mistakes while using technology as I have, you gain knowledge...;-) .  If I don't know the answer to your question, I'll say so and will do my best to find it!

Fortunately for me, my beautiful wife of 35 years, Sharon, was an elementary teacher for 24 years and has been a Literacy Coordinator for eight years.  Her graduate degree is in education, with an emphasis in Library Science.  Consequently, if I'm a little slow in understanding your requests/issues, hopefully she will translate! If you have any questions, please contact me.  I know that you are the expert in your position, and I plan to support your technology needs to the best of my ability.
